I feel so many emotions tonight. Humbled by the trust you have placed in me. Grateful for your support. Apprehensive of the weight on my shoulders. Hopeful for the future. Most importantly, though, I am emboldened to face the challenges ahead because of your confidence.

Let us revisit our organizational objectives and blaze new and exciting paths to achieve them. I enjoin all of you to dream with me these next two years. To dream of a future where PBO membership growth
flourishes; and where universities crave our accreditation; perhaps we will not have to dream too long.

Our new set of officers will endeavor to draw up an action plan focusing on achieving these dreams. We hoped to initiate programs and guidelines that will generate interest in membership and uplift the name of our board. However, I cannot do these things alone. I appeal to all the members to be even more proactive this year. Sure, this will require a little sacrifice of time and resources from everyone, “because” in Kamala Harris’s words: “Now is when the real work begins. The hard work. The necessary work. The good work.”

With this board, anything is possible. Thank you and please enjoy the rest of your evening.
